Want to run away from the fast City life? Just come to the Mountains of Washington County in Virginia. We are located 12 miles from the Town of Damascus --- between Konnarock and Whitetop. The start of the Virginia Creeper Trail is in Whitetop. You can ride a bike from Whitetop to the Town of Damascus (17 miles). The Appalachian Trail is just 3/4 of a mile from Rockin D's front door. Best of all, the Rockin D Cottage sits on 10 1/2 acres. All for you to enjoy. Great for the entire family, scout troop, or just a quiet time for you and someone special.
We are open year round....
The front deck and covered porch overlook a great Pond where the Deer come to drink. Plus, lots of Birds and other wild life to watch and enjoy while staying at the Rockin D Cottage. Don't forget the Stars at night!!!!!!

We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (large bathroom has a Red Heart Shape Jacuzzi for two), complete kitchen, family room, living room, laundry room with washer & dryer. Outside, enjoy the gas grill, charcoal grill, outdoor fireplace, and a Hot Tub on the side deck. Pack your food and Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Traveling SOUTH on I-81, Exit 35-Chilhowie. At the end of off-ramp, turn LEFT onto VA Hwy. 762 South/Whitetop Ave.
You will now travel a total of 14.0 miles before your next turn.
2.2 miles Point of interest: After cresting the hill, there is an extraordinary panoramic view of the Iron Mountains.
3.1 miles Landmark: Flashing caution signal just before you cross Saint Claire Creek Road/South Fork of the HolstonContinue straight onto VA Hwy. 600/Whitetop Road.
7.4 miles Remaining on VA Hwy. 600, here you enter Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area.
8.0 miles Point of interest: On your right is an overlook with a broadview of the valley you just crossed.
9.1 miles Point of interest: As you crest Iron Mountain through Skulls Gap, the Iron Mountain Trail intersects here.
11.3 miles Landmark: on your left is Weaver's Grocery.
NOTE: Continue STRAIGHT, then a slight curve to the right onto VA Hwy. 603 / Konnarock Road.
VA Hwy. 600 turns left. DO NOT TURN!
12.9 miles Landmark: Here you enter Washington County.
13.0 miles Landmark: Here you enter the Konnarock Community.
Point of Interest: Road curves around memorial park on left.
14.0 miles Turn LEFT onto US Hwy. 58 East / Jeb Stuart Hwy.
1.6 miles The Rockin D Ranch is on the right at 29818 Jeb Stuart Hwy.
